IPPD Testimonials

This program changed my life. When Kate says to come, learn and heal– she really means it. I feel like this training has brought me to the base of a beautiful mountain pass. I am in a meadow of wildflowers, with my backpack by my side full of tools, and rations, a compass, and a map. I am lifting my pack up over my shoulders and setting out on the biggest journey of my life, this will be my life’s work, and I’m excited! I am ready! Everything I have ever learned or experienced has brought me here to this trail. I know myself better today then I did before this training. The sun is peaking out, and I see the wisdom of my beautiful teachers before me, there is Kate and Lois, and their teachers, and their teachers teachers, all creating this winding path. They are a river that knows itself. An earth built of noticing what happens in their bodies and the bodies of the people they are working with. I look out at the mountains and valleys, all the experiences of birth and birthing people, the experiences of the babies and their families. I am getting ready to take one little step into this wild wilderness of experiences and support, and I am as full and grateful as the rising sun. I put down my intention to do my very best to honor what I have learned, and I will walk behind it for the rest of my life.  -- Liz Fullerton, NYC Cohort 2025
