Welcome to the 2026 New Zealand Foundations Course

This Foundations course in Integrated Prenatal and Perinatal Dynamics™ offers the basic building blocks for working early overwhelming states that may occur starting preconception, including conception, pregnancy, birth and attachment. Often called early developmental trauma, recognition, reaching and healing ruptures or interruptions in development from this early time are increasingly seen as the cracks in the foundation of human health. Current healing science now includes overwhelming childhood experiences and ancestral patterns; the prenatal and perinatal period is the missing piece. This introductory workshop will give you tools so you can normalize early difficulty and have a skill base to help families get the best possible start and individuals onto the healing path. The first step is working with your own internal states and is vital to the relationship you establish with your client base. Our course combines early trauma resolution with midwifery model of care.
Come, study, learn, heal.

Fee: $795, payable all at once or by a payment plan.

Dates: November 19-22, 2026
Class times: 9:30 - 6 pm each day except last day we end by 3 pm

Directions:
About 30 min from Wellington International Airport.

Wellington central is a 25-40 min walk to Brooklyn. There are several buses including the number 7 that will take you near to my house. We are 10 min ride from the city centre.

Places to stay:

In town people can find lots of different hotels and airbnb options. Booking.com is a good website to find local options like Haka House which has good value rooms. And something a bit more plush with a restaurant is Oaks Wellington on Courtenay Place.

Food:

Wellington is known for it’s cafe culture, so literally anywhere in the city centre will be walking distance to a cafe. There are also several big and small supermarkets all in walking distance in town.

Food in Brooklyn is more limited - not really healthy food options... Within walking distance:
  • Caribe Cafe - coffee, cabinet food
  • Penthouse cinema cafe that has limited cabinet food, does do good dinners.
  • Chimichurri - breakfast and lunch (I think it’s expesnive) does have some counter food
  • 1852 Pub and Kitchen Lunch and dinners - I don’t drink so I never go in there and bit low vibe
  • Bogarts Pizzeria - is the BEST pizza place in Wellington for dinners only
  • Swagat India - average Indian restaurant does lunch and dinners
  • Burger Wisconsin - for descent burgers
  • Salty Pidgin is an expensive restaurant
  • And there are a couple of fish and chips shops

** Students will be able to use the venue kitchen including the fridge.
The Prenatal and Perinatal Somatics Institute is an official training organization within the USABP.
